Record revenues for TenCate

Specialist protective fabrics manufacturer TenCate has announced an increase in sales of 16% to more than EUR 1.1 billion for 2011. Its net profit for the year was EUR 58.7 million, which represents an increase on the previous year of 21%.

The advanced textiles and composites division of the company registered strong growth in sales and substantial increase in operating result, the company said.

On announcing the results, chief executive, Loek de Vries, commented: "In 2011 TenCate continued the upward trend that started in 2010, as a result of which sales and profit rose sharply to record levels."
