DAK Americas is the latest supplier in the textile supply chain to announce an increase in its prices owing to rises in the cost of raw materials.

The Mexican-based manufacturer has said its prices for polyester staple fibre will go up on March 15 by around six US cents per kilo.

In a statement, DAK Americas said: “A significant increase in the global cost of paraxylene is working through the polyester value chain.”
