ispo Beijing exceeds expectations

The organisers of ispo Beijing have said their 2012 event, which took place in the final days of February, attracted more than 24,500 visitors.

There were 353 exhibitors, an increase of 28% on the 2011 event, occupying 17% more exhibition space than last year, 35,000 square-metres in total.

Klaus Dittrich, chief executive of organisers, Messe München, said afterwards: “We are very pleased with these extraordinary results, far exceeding our expectations.”

An increasing number of Asian manufacturers and brands took part, as did international brands such as Bogner, DC, Deuter, Eaglecreek, Five Ten, Meindl, Protest, Salomon, Vaude, and X-Bionic.
