Hincapie launches spring 2012 cycling line
US cycling apparel manufacturer Hincapie Sportswear has introduced its spring 2012 line for cyclists and triathletes. The line, which includes new pieces as well as updated ones, makes use of Resistex carbon fabric, which Hincapie claims lowers body temperature and lactic acid, as well as coldblack technology that the brand says enables dark fabric to reflect light the same way as white material.
“The spring 2012 line captures the essence of George Hincapie, whose 19 years of professional cycling accomplishments, including assisting in nine Tour de France victories, makes him uniquely qualified to know what works and doesn’t work in cycling apparel,” said a statement from Hincapie. “The company also is in tune with triathletes thanks to Morgan Zornes, a two-time Ironman finisher, who is Hincapie Sportswear’s director of technical development. This firsthand knowledge of cycling and triathlons is why the Spring 2012 line mirrors Hincapie’s philosophy of proving apparel with the quality and technical function for athletes to perform at their best”.
Highlights from the collection include: the ‘George Signature Jersey’ for men, which is now made from VenTech Stretch Mesh panels, which provide freedom of movement and comfort; the ‘Women’s Jet Jersey’, a new addition to the Hincapie Sportswear line, which features a sleek design with an emphasis on performance including MeshTek technology for temperature regulation; and the T2 Triathlon Collection with top, bottom and skinsuit, which is the result of Hincapie Sportswear’s enhanced focus on triathlon race apparel and is made from durable, 225g AT2 Tour Lycra Power fabric.
Hincapie Sportswear’s line features accessories including multiple weight socks and gloves, as well as gear bags and a line of casual denim attire.
