Change on the way for biggest Australian cotton ginner

Australia’s largest cotton ginner, Namoi Cotton, has blamed a continuation of market volatility for a reported loss of $40 million in the second half of its most recent financial year.

Reports in Australia suggest that the company, of which a cotton growers’ co-operative has overall control, will have to change its structure. There is speculation that marketing partner China National Cotton Group Corporation is the most likely source of new capital for Namoi.
