Bemis opens Vietnam office
Specialist thermoplastic adhesive and seam tape manufacturer Bemis Associates has announced the opening of an office in Hanoi, Vietnam. Bemis has had a presence in Asia since 1990. From March 2012, the office will provide local service with quicker response times for both factory visits and technical support.
Managing the Vietnam office will be Vincent Vu, who joined Bemis in November 2011. Mr Vu has extensive knowledge of technical outerwear, having previously been employed at Shinwoo, Intermax and YoungOne.
“As a leading ingredient manufacturing company serving diverse industries, we looked closely at the development and growth trends in Vietnam and decided we needed to increase our commitment there for our existing customers and for prospective customers,” said Steve Howard, president and CEO of Bemis. “The Bemis Service Model is at the core of what we do and we are pleased to continue to extend our global reach with local service.”
The opening of the Vietnam office expands Bemis’s Asian network, which includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Sri Lanka. Bemis will also be opening an office in mainland China later in 2012.
