Nano-Tex announces new way of providing moisture management

22/03/2012
US provider of nanotechnology-based textile enhancements Nano-Tex has announced a new patented one-way moisture management technology for polyester that it says will help keep people dry during exercise or in hot climates, reduce chafing, clinging and a wet, clammy feeling that the company says people often experience with traditional moisture wicking technologies.

Dry Inside for polyester is engineered to move moisture in only one direction, away from the skin side of the fabric to the outer surface of the fabric where it then evaporates, Nano-Tex has explained, keeping the wearer "dry and comfortable during their workout".

Traditional moisture management technologies spread moisture across the surface of the fabric in all directions (both inside and out, it continued, meaning the wearer is wet until the entire surface of the fabric dries.

To date, more than 80 textile mills worldwide are using Nano-Tex treatments in products sold by more than 100
clothing brands.
