Filati Color will make more yarns with Advansa fibres

Italian manufacturer of specialist dyed cotton-blend yarns Filati Color is adding to the range of products it makes by combining cotton with fibres from Advansa. The company will make the yarns using proprietary spinning technology called Futura Maximizer and bring the products to market under the banner Hi.Tech Yarn.

Brescia-based Filati Color has said that the move to make more yarns with Advansa fibres such as temperature- and moisture-regulating ThermoCool and moisture-wicking Coolmax is in response to increasing market demand for high-performance products.

The new yarns will be suitable for producing knitted and woven fabrics.

“When we decided to increase our offer with technical yarns,” said Filati Color director Enrico Marzoli, “we considered several types of special fibres that would combine their unique properties with the spinning technology of Futura. These are ideal to make fabrics and garments with reduced pilling effect, better stability and cleaner aesthetics.”
