The Australian Olympic team has unveiled its green and gold Olympic kit by German sports brand adidas. The uniforms feature green trousers, gold tops, kangaroo motifs and the Southern Cross.

World champion hurdler Sally Pearson was the main model at the launch, showing off the athletics competition outfit of green cycling shorts with a gold piping and a Southern Cross on the back and a yellow-gold athletics top with ‘AUSTRALIA’ across the front.

Speaking at the launch, Ms Pearson said: “There’s not much of it. It’s like a little bikini. In a way, it still feels like your skin, so it’s kind of like you are naked.”
