Capo puts Coldblack into new hat collection

03/04/2012
Specialist Austrian outdoor hat brand Capo has incorporated Coldblack from Schoeller Technologies into its collection for spring-summer 2012. The technology prevents the material used to make the hats from becoming too hot and at the same time provides protection from ultraviolet rays from the sun.

Dark textiles are known to heat up more in direct sunlight than light-coloured ones. In stopping this from happening, Coldblack improves heat management and reduces the absorption of sunlight.

The minimum Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) that the technology can provide is 30, helping prevent sunburn or longer-term skin damage in the sensitive head area.

Capo’s new collection includes a flat cap, a baseball cap, a military cap and a trilby. The models are available in sophisticated black and in black with understated white accents.
