Bauer reports apparel sales up 9%
US sportswear company Bauer Performance Sports has announced its unaudited financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended February 29, 2012.
The 24% increase in overall revenues in the nine months of fiscal 2012 was led by strong performance in ice hockey equipment, according to Bauer. The firm saw solid performance in its lacrosse and apparel product categories, which have delivered year over year revenue increases of 41% and 25%, respectively.
Revenues from the North American market grew by 22% in the nine month period ended February 29, 2012 compared to the same period last year, while sales outside North America grew by 30% in the same period. Third quarter revenues grew by 7% due to strong growth in ice hockey equipment (14%) and apparel (9%). Revenues from the North American market were up 1% while sales outside North America were up 28% in the third quarter.
