Bogotá football club sets up its own clothing brand

In a statement, the Bogotá-based club said it had made the move to satisfy demand for branded Millonarios products among a support-base that it claims numbers seven million fans. It said replica shirts and training gear, supplied by official kit provider adidas, were already popular products, but insisted the new range would complement these items.
“Brand value is one of the most important aspects of any company,” said club president, Felipe Gaitán Tovar, on announcing the initiative. “We want all our fans to come, to buy Millonarios products and to wear with pride the brand of the club we love.”
