Presentations on offer at Performance Days

The organisers of the Performance Days exhibition, which next takes place in Munich on May 9 and 10, have confirmed a line-up of speakers who will offer insightful presentations over the two days.

Starting at 10.30 on the first morning, journalist
Ulrike Arlt will give a talk on performance trends for 2014 in functional fabrics. This will be followed at 11.30 by a presentation on colour general trend perspectives for 2014 from designer Nora Kühner.

At 14.30 that afternoon, Dr Anja Gerhardts will speak about application, assessment and safety aspects of antimicrobial textiles in sports activities, followed by a talk at 15.30 from sustainable materials specialist Charline Ducas on recycled manmade fibres.

The following morning, May 10, at 10.30, Claudia Rehbein from REHBI GmbH, a new German company set up last year to help apparel brands and manufacturers improve the fit of their products, will speak to the Performance Days audience about the difficult task of achieving “the perfect fit” in a globalised industry.

Finally, at 14.30 that afternoon, consultant technical editor of WSA, Sophie Bramel, will give a presentation on the subject of cool effect textiles, explaining how new fibres, fabrics and finishes can help keep the body fresh.

All of the presentations will be in English.
