The aim, the two companies said, will be to use the design studio to help improve sustainability across New Wide’s supply chain.
Approximately 4,000 colour samples will be on display in the studio, which is located in a New Wide Group building, to make it easy for the group’s designers to select and share information about colour development and colour management with colleagues and customers. In addition, working with CSI gives assurances about the environmental standards of the colour solutions New Wide selects, the companies explained.
Simon Collinson, managing director of DyStar’s CSI subsidiary in Shanghai, commented: “The collaboration between CSI and New Wide aims to further support New Wide not only in its engineered colour development but also in its efforts to eliminate waste and hazardous chemicals from its supply chain. This will position New Wide for further recognition from local, regional and international brands and retailers.”
