Management team buys PrimaLoft from parent company

Specialist insulation material manufacturer PrimaLoft has announced a buy-out from its parent company, investment firm Albany International.

Former president of Albany International, Michael Joyce, is leading the acquisition and will become PrimaLoft’s chief executive. On announcing the news, he said: “This is an incredible opportunity for the future of PrimaLoft. This move will enable PrimaLoft to continue to grow by making the necessary investments in the brand to maintain its leadership position in the marketplace.”

Vice-president and general manager, Joe Rumiesz, said the transition for the business will be seamless and that PrimaLoft’s commitment to customers and vendors is “stronger than ever”. He said customers would benefit from improved service and accelerated development of “new and highly innovative products”.

The entire global PrimaLoft team will remain in place and offices will remain headquartered in Albany, New York, with European office locations in Venice and Munich.
