US outdoor retailer Eastern Mountain Sports will host a grand opening of a new store in South Portland, ME on May 11-13, 2012.

“This new store represents are most aggressive expansion in our 32 year history in the state of Maine,” said Will Manzer, CEO of Eastern Mountain Sports. “The Portland area has supported our brand since 1980 and we’re thrilled to provide them with a second convenient shopping location with more gear to choose from.”

The new South Portland location will feature a new section for children, an expanded kayak and stand-up paddleboard department, as well as a full-service bike shop. These improvements complement an extensive selection of outdoor apparel and gear for backpacking, camping, climbing and hiking.
