New best practice guides at SDC
The Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) has launched two new best practice guides written by its Colour Measurement Committee. Both guides are available free of charge via SDC's website.
The first covers the ‘Assessment of the Performance of a
Colour Measurement Instrument’ and the second focuses on ‘Viewing Cabinets for
the Visual Assessment of Surface Colour’.
These guides offer advice on the assessment of the performance of a colour
measurement instrument and for highlight the main areas that need to be
considered during the purchase and use of viewing cabinets.
Both guides provide the user with the information required to be able to make
sure that the instrument in use is being used to its maximum efficiency and
therefore providing more accurate and relevant data.
