USDA approval for Wickers FR t-shirt
Wickers Performance Wear, which produces fire resistant baselayer garments, has earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product label for its Wickers FR T-shirts.
This label verifies that the T-shirts contain 97% renewable, biobased ingredients that meet or exceed prescribed USDA standards.
The T-shirts are made from Lenzing FR and Merino Wool, which are both high-performance fibres that deliver make the baselayers safer, cooler, drier and more comfortable.
"We are pleased that Wickers Performance Wear has earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product label," said Ron Buckhalt, USDA BioPreferred program manager.
"Biobased products provide opportunities to help add value to renewable commodities; create jobs in rural communities and generate investment income."
