England’s Euro 2012 kit criticised

Sweden-based Swerea IVF lab claims England’s football team will be wearing the least practical jerseys at the upcoming UEFA Euro 2012 tournament.

The lab tested the jerseys of each participating team for benefits such as breathability, sweat absorption and shape retention.

The England team’s Umbro shirts achieved low scores in most categories, but were particularly slated for their lack of breathability; attracting the lowest score of the 16 in this segment.

Sweden’s Umbro jerseys were found to be more breathable than England’s, but were deemed less durable.

The “best” jerseys were those produced by adidas for Denmark, Germany, Greece, Russia and Ukraine, according to the lab.
