First Japan store for Keen

18/06/2012

Sportswear and outdoor footwear manufacturer Keen has opened its first retail store outside North America.

The Keen Garage Harajuku in Tokyo brings its retail store count to three, with one in Portland, Oregon, and one in Toronto.

Although Keen products have been sold in Japan since 2004, the store marks a significant step in the company's overseas expansion. The new store will be a testing ground for products new to the Japanese market, and some products will also be developed specifically for Japanese consumers.

The store will donate 20% of sales to Living Dreams, a Japanese charity that sponsors children to go on outdoor camping trips.
