Invista announces Coolmax partnerships in India

20/06/2012
Polymer and fibre manufacturer Invista has announced partnerships with two Indian spinning firms, Gokak Textiles and Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills (RSWM), to develop spun yarns for use in making Coolmax temperature-regulating and moisture management fabric in India.

Invista launched the Coolmax fabric brand in India earlier this year with a view to helping textile and apparel companies meet local demand for temperature regulation and sweat management in clothing.

Gokak  and RSWM will develop yarns that blend Coolmax with cotton and polyester in various ratios and counts, as well as 100% Coolmax yarns.

Invista's managing director in south Asia, Andrew Evans, said on announcing the new partnerships: “We believe that with Coolmax fabric we can add another dimension of cool-comfort clothing for the Indian consumer and have had an encouraging response from the Indian apparel industry.”
