Senior appointment at Alexium
Flame-retardant textile producer Alexium International Group has appointed David Lambert as a key technical member of its development team.
Mr Lambert is a chemist with nearly 30 years of experience in the supervision, design, development, manufacturing, product stewardship, application, and testing of products.
Bob Brookins, chief technology officer at Alexium, said: "David
Lambert has extensive formulations experience with both water-borne and
solvent-borne formularies including elastomers, auxiliaries, dyes, coatings,
and formulated products for a variety of applications.
"[Mr] Lambert will also add in-plant trial experience, customer support, and process development experience."
Earlier this year, Alexium signed a letter of intent with Duro Textiles to
licence Alexium’s flame-retardant nylon treatment in the North American market.
Duro Textiles is one of the largest dyers, printers,
finishers and distributors of textile products in the US. Its products range
from light to heavyweight fabrics used in ultra-lightweight breathable ponchos,
tents, physical training uniforms and ballistic nylon tactical outerwear for
the military.
