Former WRAP chief executive joins ICG
03/07/2012
ICG chief executive, Gil Llanes, said on making the announcement: “Steve brings an incredible wealth of experience to our consulting engineering and compliance practices. He has been a thought leader in our fields for over 20 years having gained tremendous global experience while at Sara Lee Corporation and then Sara Lee Branded Apparel (now Hanesbrands International). He chaired the task force that led to the formation of WRAP in 2000 and then served as CEO for the past six years. Steve led the growth of WRAP to over 60 countries around the world, and we’re excited to have him join ICG as we accelerate our growth in the consumer products field.”
For his part, Mr Jesseph said: “Gil and his team are some of the most experienced in textile, apparel and leather operations and distribution experts. It’s a real pleasure to be working with a global team of professionals who truly know what they’re doing. They were at the forefront of the corporate social responsibility compliance field when they offered audit and monitoring services for their clients in the late 1990s before the current ‘audit industry’ took hold. As a result, they have a wealth of industry knowledge in a relatively new field, which very few other firms could match. I’m looking forward to being part of this growing organisation as we add staff, offices and new services to meet the needs of our clients.”
Mr Jesseph will take responsibility for client development and operations, and representing ICG with select trade and professional associations.
