Teijin Fibers to appear at Interfilière
Teijin Fibers, the core company of the Teijin Group's polyester fibres business, is to exhibit its latest fibre innovations at Interfilière Paris on July 7-9.
It will showcase elk, a urethane-alternative, high-performance polyester cushioning material, and Nanofront, a high-strength polyester nanofibre that offers excellent frictional properties, a soft texture, and moisture management.
According to the company, elk is lightweight, durable, breathable and does not yellow easily. It is also environmentally friendly because it does not generate cyanogen gas when incinerated.
Nanofront is a high-strength polyester fibre with a thickness of just 700 nanometres, or 7,500 times smaller than the cross section of a human hair. Nano-sized bumps on the surface of the fibre increase frictional force and offer good slip resistance.
Visitors to the Teijin booth will be able to discuss customised
solutions with representatives from Teijin Fibers and its partner, Taiwan-based
Yao I Fabric.
