Sustainability the key theme at ICAC meeting

The 71st plenary meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) is to focus on sustainability.
Approximately 500 participants from 40 countries and eight international organisations will attend the meeting, which will take place in Interlaken, Switzerland, on October 7-12.
The role of the ICAC in the sustainability discussion is to present best practices, promote information exchange and facilitate cooperation, which should lead to more sustainable farming, ginning and spinning methods.
Additional sessions will be held on the outlook for world fibre
supply, use and prices; demand enhancement; contract fulfilment; and
biotechnology.
