Toetoe adds cycling to its sports socks range

Toe-sock brand Toetoe has brought out a new collection of socks specifically for cycling.

The cycle toe socks are specially designed to provide cushioning in the areas that cyclists need most, namely on the toes, the ball of the foot and the Achilles tendon, the company said at the time of the launch. Zonal knitting helps ensure a firm hold to prevent the socks from slipping around the foot.

Toe-separated socks will give cyclists improved balance, blood circulation, foot shape, hygiene and comfort, promoting a ‘barefoot’ sensation to the wearer, Toetoe added, citing its 10 years of research in proprioception, body’s sense of its own position, balance and movement, with chiropodists and podiatrists.

Coolmax yarn features in the collection because of its moisture-wicking capabilities. Nylon also features in the blends for its durability and softness. The socks are calf-length.

“We very excited about the launch of Toetoe cycle toe socks,” said company founder, Sinan Yilmaz, at the time of the launch. “We have received many requests from toe separation converts to bring this innovation to the world of cycling apparel. We’re dedicated to constantly improving our range and bringing the benefits of toe separated performance socks to new sports.”

The brand already has running, tennis, golf and outdoor socks in its range.
