Trekmates glove wins 2012 OutDoor Award for accessories

Chief executive of Nottingham-based Trekmates, Keith Paxton, said at the time of the announcement: “In wet environments, be it rain, mist or snow, the hydrophobic ion-mask properties cause a reduction in water retention in the glove material, so they stay lightweight, dry and breathable. As soon as we saw the technology in action on footwear, we knew that we had to have this for our gloves as it provides such a high level of flexibility from a design perspective.”
