Li-Ning to provide kit for Alcatraz sports event
Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning is the
official footwear and apparel partner for Red Bull King of the Rock, the first
official sporting event ever to be held on Alcatraz Island.
Red Bull King of the Rock is a global one-on-one
basketball tournament that includes 90 qualifying competitions outside the US
and 33 regional competitions spread across the US. Each city crowns a champion,
who is then invited to compete in the world championship event on September 22.
The overall champion receives a $20,000 prize.
Li-Ning will provide the official game jerseys for all US
qualifying events and specially designed head-to-toe gear for the final
competitors. This apparel will include the Mayhem, the brand’s latest
basketball shorts, jerseys and warm-ups.
