Texworld USA to host Turkish pavilion
From July 24-26, twelve Turkish companies
and associations will present their latest fabrics at Texworld USA, which takes
place at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The pavilion will include fabrics from: Acar
Tekstil, which specialises in cotton, viscose, polyester and jacquard weaved
fabrics; Altinsu Tekstil, which produces viscose, acetate, polyamide, polyester,
cotton and blended woven fabrics; Ay-Mu Tekstil & Korukcu Tekstil, which
focuses on women’s fabrics using satin, bi-stretch, nylon, cotton and Lycra; Batmaz,
which produces dyeing silk, yarn-dyed polyesters, nylons and cellulosics; BZ
Jakarli, which focuses on jacquard weaving for women’s formal, sports and
fashion wear; Gulcemal Tekstil, which provides yarn-dyed and piece-dyed fabrics;
Hantas Dokuma, which produces
woven jacquard fabrics; Kral Tekstil,
which provides knitted fabrics; Larmatex, which manufactures woven
cotton and cotton-blended fabrics; Ozel Tekstil, which produces piece-dyed and
yarn-dyed woven cotton blend fabrics; Ozen Mensucat, which produces knitted
fabrics and printed fabrics made from cotton, polyester, polyamide, viscose,
linen, Modal and silk; and Parlamis Tekstil, which provides yarn-dyed fabrics, 100%
viscose, poly-cotton and dyed fabrics.
"Turkey is the largest textile producer in Europe as well
as an important cotton and synthetic fibre producer. We export middle to high-end
fashion fabrics to more than 180 countries and trade zones," says Ufuk Ocak, member
of the board of the Uludag Textile Exporters
Association (UTIB).
"At Texworld USA, leading Turkish companies will show
their unique and high-quality products, which are often available in large
quantities and within weeks."
In total, around 328 exhibitors from 14
countries are expected to attend the event.
