SGS affirms XTIO2's anti-germ fabric coating claims
XTIO2 Active-Shield Fabric has received a 100% antibacterial efficacy rate for its fabric coating technology from certification company SGS.
The tests, which were commissioned by Cleancoating, confirmed that the coating made fabrics 100% effective against dangerous bacteria including E.coli and MRSA.
It contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and is ISPBC certified and RoHS compliant. According to the company, it is safe, sustainable, reduces dust build-up and purifies air from allergens as well as offering anti-odour properties.
The coating can be applied to a range of fabrics and garments such as sportswear, workwear and underwear. And the manufacturer claims XTIO2 Fabrics can be “refreshed” in direct sunlight or artificial indoor lighting, which reduces the need for washing.
