New study will examine clothes sizes in Italy
25/07/2012
The project, SizeITALY, will follow the same format of previous exercises the company has carried out in Germany. Italian subsidiary Sistemi Assyst will carry out the work.
Around 6,000 men, women and children will be measured using 3D bodyscanning technology.
“Italians have changed since the last serial measurement took place 20 years ago,” Human Solutions said on making the announcement. “But how much have they changed? No one knows for sure. The aim of the project is to establish the time-related changes in the dimensions and proportions of male, female and children’s bodies in Italy. This will enable the partners to deliver current market share tables and body dimension statistics to the [clothing] industry, based on the results of the survey.”
