La Sportiva North America has introduces a full line of mountain running apparel for spring 2013. The new apparel and nine new footwear styles will be introduced at the 2012 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.

The line includes 31 new styles including performance shirts, tanks, tights, shorts, skirts and jackets. These items contain technology from a range of technical textile providers including Cocona, Polygiene, Primaloft and Gore-Tex.

Highlights of the apparel line include the Men’s Quest T-shirt, a technical trail running shirt with a body mapped design and comprising three different fabrics. For women, the Crystal T-shirt delivers comfort and UPF 50+ sun protection with a feminine cut.

"Since we created the Mountain Running category over 10 years ago with our first shoe, we’ve remained committed to the sport," said Jonathan Lantz, president of La Sportiva North America.

"As the running market continues to grow, interest in lightweight, high-performance products is stronger than ever and we’ve utilised innovative design and fabrics to assemble a top-notch line of apparel."
