Italy’s Olympic volleyball kit features ResistexCarbon
Asics has used technical yarn ResistexCarbon for the Olympic
uniform of Italy’s volleyball team.
ResistexCarbon is a
technologically advanced yarn made by Tecnofilati. It helps to protect
the body by dissipating static energy and providing thermoregulation
properties. It helps to evaporate sweat rapidly, reduce the amount of moisture on
the skin and maintain a constant body temperature. It also protects the
skin from bacteria and helps to reduce the concentration of lactic acid during
exercise.
"ResistexCarbon comes from
our research laboratories," says Andrea Abati, CEO at Tecnofilati. "This is a yarn with unique
technical features composed of a continuous filament of conductive material
based on active carbon and textile fibres.
"These high-tech features make it perfect for
sportswear. The yarn has been specially studied and designed to favour the
highest performance of the athletes. For this reason it is to be considered a special
ally for the Olympic Games.
"Now we want just to say good luck to our national
women's and men’s volleyball team."
