Thermore celebrates 40 years in business
Thermore will mark its 40th anniversary by presenting its
latest innovations at Outdoor
Retailer in Salt Lake City on August 2-5.
Founded
in 1972 in Milan, the company is responsible for the research, production and
marketing of thermal insulation for sportswear and fashion clothing.
The
group has a presence in Europe, Asia, and North America, including production
facilities in Thailand and offices in Hong Kong.
Thermore
will present the new Classic product line (formerly known as TMK), featuring
50% postconsumer recycled (PCR) polyester fibres, and its enhanced Rinnova
product, with a content of 100% post-consumer recycled fibres, at the US expo.
According
to the company, each jacket made with Rinnova allows for an average saving of
18.48 MJ of energy. This, it claims, is enough energy to power a compact
fluorescent light bulb for more than 200 hours!
Brands exhibiting products containing Thermore technology
at Outdoor Retailer include Fera (in its women’s Nikki insulated stretch pants),
Outdoor Research (in its Igneo jacket and pants) and Hotfingers (in its reflective
blanket Hot-rap line).
