Sustainable textiles conference to be held in Hong Kong

Textile Exchange, EcoTextile News, Messe Frankfurt and Planet Textiles are partnering to host a Sustainable textiles conference in Hong Kong on October 4-5. It will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, in conjunction with Interstoff Asia Essential.

The conference will be a global gathering of representatives from across the textile sector. The focus will be on sustainability and opportunities in textile manufacturing, chemicals and agriculture.

The conference will involve comprehensive meetings and forums that cover important aspects of sustainable textiles with topics including organic and other natural fibres (such as bamboo and cellulose) intelligent textiles, recycled fibres, bio-polymers, sustainable business practices in water and energy usage, social issues, pricing issues, climate concerns, industry and product integrity (including certification), toxics and waste, consumer market trends, key performance indicators, and traceability and transparency issues.
