Companies invited to nominate for eco prize

15/08/2012

Companies, initiatives or public institutions that contribute to environmental protection and are serious about their eco credentials are being invited to nominate themselves to win the inaugural Blue Angel prize.

The Blue Angel (der Blaue Engel) is a German certification for products and services that have environmentally friendly aspects and is reportedly the oldest ecolabel in the world. It has been awarded since 1978 and it covers 10,000 products in 80 categories.

Companies that emphasise the Blue Angel in corporate communication and play a leading role in its utilisation will be considered.

The winners will be decided by a jury of experts from the business world, politics and research, with the prize awarded at the German Sustainability Awards on December 7 in Düsseldorf.
