Lululemon sues over yoga pants patent

20/08/2012

Yogawear maker Lululemon has filed a lawsuit against Calvin Klein over patents in the design of its yoga pants.

The Canada-based company claims Calvin Klein and G-III Apparel Group, a manufacturer of the brand, infringed three patents in the design of waistbands in its 'performance' brand pants – which Lululemon says are similar to its 'astro pants'.

It said the “infringement has irreparably injured Lululemon and will continue to injure Lululemon” in its filing.

None of the claims have been proven in court.
