US sportswear retailer Finish Line has appointed Amber Vanes as vice-president of planning and allocation.

Ms Vanes has been with the group for seven years, most recently as a senior buyer and divisional merchandise manager for The Running Specialty Group, which Finish Line acquired last year.

“Amber’s experience with The Running Specialty Group together with her past roles as an apparel buyer and manager of planning and allocation for soft goods at Finish Line make her uniquely prepared for the challenge of this new position,” said Sam Sato, president of Finish Line.

Finish Line sells athletic shoes, apparel and accessories. It is headquartered in Indianapolis and has 638 stores across the US.
