Tefron's seamless apparel sales rise 22.2% in Q2
Apparel producer Tefron has realised a 22.2% increase in sales in its seamless division for the second quarter of 2012.
Amit Meridor, Tefron's chief executive, said the stronger results are a direct outcome of its large-scale investments over the past two years, particularly in the development of new products and in improving its product mix.
“These important investments, combined with our advanced production capabilities in Israel and the more recently established production operations in China, have enabled us to offer a full and competitive basket of solutions to customers,” he added.
The company's sales in the second quarter totalled $29.3million, a 1.4% increase on the $28.8 million in the corresponding period last year.
Tefron
develops, produces and sells athletic wear, swimwear and
undergarments, with design and production based in Israel, Jordan
and the Far East, while the finished goods are sold mainly in the US
and Europe. Its customers include Reebok, GAP and Wal-Mart.
