A new brand of running shoes which says its aim is to encourage running performance that is as “biomechanically correct as possible” has launched two styles for spring/summer 2013.

Skora, which is heaquartered in Oregon in the US, says the shoes feature "groundbreaking mid and outsole technology and construction techniques".

Called Phase and Core, both are built on R02 unibody outsole platforms, featuring injection blown rubber (IBR), which provides the function of both midsole and outsole.

Phase is constructed using with a single-layer mesh upper and laminated reflective details, while Core features a perforated goatskin leather upper and a lining made of leather and antibacterial Agion mesh.

Skora claims that IBR offers better abrasion resistance, grip and compression at a much lower density and weight than rubber.

David Sypniewski, founder of Skora, said: “The collection is an evolution of our philosophy, founded on challenging the status quo and building running shoes that not only enable natural running, but do so by seamlessly combining design and performance.”
