Teijin to reorganise its fibre company

04/09/2012
High-performance fibre manufacturer Teijin Limited has announced that it will integrate its “products converting company”, N.I. Teijin Shoji into its polyester fibre company, Teijin Fiber, and relaunch the combined businesses as Teijin Frontier Company on October 1.

The new company will handle development, sales and trading of fibre raw materials, apparel products and industrial materials, combining Teijin Fibers’ technologies and expertise in fibre production and processing, and N.I. Teijin Shoji’s procurement network and service capabilities. Teijin Frontier will aim to grow its business in the global market as a hybrid converting company.

Operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Teijin Limited, Teijin Frontier will have around 800 employees and will be led by Tetsushi Takenaka, currently president of N.I. Teijin Shoji.
