City Sports appoints CEO

Athletic apparel retailer City Sports has hired Edward Albertian as president and chief executive.

He was previously president of the Trans National Group, and joins the Boston-headquartered company to replace Jeff Connor, who resigned last month.

Mr Albertian said: "I look forward to enhancing all areas of our business, from merchandising and marketing to store operations, human resources and distribution as we continue to expand and enter new markets."

City Sports opened four stores in the past in 12 months to add to its 20 across the eastern US.
