PPR appoints chief sustainability officer

French conglomerate PPR has appointed Marie-Claire Daveu as chief sustainability officer and head of international institutional affairs, and as a member of the PPR executive committee.

PPR Group encompasses a number of luxury, and sport and lifestyle premium brands, with its sports business including Puma, Volcom, Cobra Puma Golf, Electric and Tretorn.

Reporting to François-Henri Pinault, PPR CEO and chairman, Ms Daveu’s primary role will be to continue the implementation of the PPR sustainable development programme and to implement the group’s institutional affairs on a global scale.

Ms Daveu previously worked as principal private secretary to the French Minister of ecology, sustainable development, transport and housing, and as head of sustainable development at Sanofi-Aventis Group.

PPR employed 47,000 in 2011, and generated
12.2 billion in revenues.
