Cotton Inc to host crop management seminar
Cotton Incorporated is hosting a crop management seminar to give consultants, producers and cotton researchers a forum to discuss events of the current growing season, exchange ideas and share information.
"We have seen a continuing increase in irrigated acres in the Mid-South and Southeast, and for good reason. In some years, just an extra inch of water at the right time can add at least 50 pounds of fibre per acre by the end of the growing season," said Dr Ed Barnes, director of agricultural and environmental research for Cotton Incorporated.
The seminar will be held in Mississippi, US, between November 7 and 9 and this year's event includes workshops on COTMANTM and irrigation management.
