Investment to help Dow Microbial Control commercialise its products

26/09/2012
Dow Microbial Control has said it has made advances in recent years in developing “sustainable microbial control technologies”. Starting with a concentrated programme in 2009, the company says it has “pushed beyond biocides to take a more holistic, focused and comprehensive look at innovative microbial control solutions”.

As a result, it will have $50 million in investment between now and 2014 from parent company Dow Chemical, which it will use to continue developing and commercialising its technologies in an effort to help make “environmentally preferred” solutions available to user organisations.

Greg Bradley, the company’s associate director of regulatory sciences and product sustainability, said ongoing commitment and investment in regulatory expertise helped put Dow Microbial in a position to be able to navigate a complex regulatory environment for customers.
