Hi-Tec appeals for fundraisers for charity walks

27/09/2012
Netherlands-based sports brand Hi-Tec is calling for customers to take part in walking challenges this autumn to raise funds for its partner charities, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Help for Heroes.

The outdoors footwear specialist has supported Marie Curie nurses for three years, donating footwear and promoting events such as Walk Ten, a series of 10k fundraiser walks that take place all over the UK.

Hi-Tec has also been working in partnership with Help for Heroes since 2011, focusing on the charity’s Battle Back initiative, which uses sports rehabilitation to help seriously injured service personnel gain confidence and return to an active life. Hi-Tec offers financial assistance towards footwear and gives awards to those taking part in the c hallenges.

Helen Durant, UK marketing manager at Hi-Tec, said: “There’s no better way to fundraise than by taking part in walking challenges; they offer the chance to see breathtakingly beautiful scenery and everyone, no matter what age or fitness level, can have a go.”
