Talon moves on from litigation with top-level appointment

Talon chief executive Lonnie Schnell said: "Herman is one of the leading textile consultants within the industry and the most knowledgeable concerning the technology and advantages of the Tekfit waistband.”
The Tekfit waistband uses a patented technology and specialty equipment to transform a non-stretch fabric into a stretchable waistband by compressing the fabric and changing the nature of the material's structure.
The company recently announced the end of protracted litigation regarding the use of this technology. It said many customers had been hesitant to incorporate the technology while its ownership was in dispute.
"Herman initially brought this technology to the company in 2002 and now that we no longer have uncertainty about who owns the technology hanging over us, we are confident that with Herman's expertise and guidance we can bring this innovative product to the entire industry," said Mr Schnell.
Talon supplies to apparel companies including Reebok, Polo Ralph Lauren and Bobby Jones Golf.
