DyStar looks to accelerate growth in Andean region

Specialist textile chemicals provider DyStar has bought Anglostar, the exclusive distributor for DyStar products in the Andean region, and its subsidiaries, Anglostar Colombia, Anglostar Ecuador and Anglostar Peru.

Ron Pedemonte, president of DyStar Americas, said: “The acquisition is a pivotal move to accelerate the rapid growth that we are experiencing in 2012 in the Andean region.

“We have been working very closely with the Anglostar management team since 2010 to help them develop and build their regional foundation. The combination of Anglostar’s excellent team and DyStar’s financial power will provide the Andean customers a strong and long-term supplier of dyes, chemicals and services.”

DyStar was founded in 1995 as a coloration specialist for the textile and leather industries.
