Poole offers replacement for ComFortrel fibre

Poole Company, a US-based manufacturer and distributor of fibres, is manufacturing a new engineered co-polymer polyester fibre.

It developed the fibre ComFortrel by Poole in response to the void left by the previous ComFortrel product by Wellman, which has ceased doing business. David Poole, CEO of Poole, said: “We have introduced a proprietary product with familiar qualities. The product gives consumers a breathable, moisture wicking, feel-good fibre that is technically advanced and has atmospherically-dyeable properties.”

ComFortrel by Poole polyester fibre includes technical properties and softness similar to the previous fibre. It can be dyed at 212 degrees atmospherically and is fast-drying, suitable for activewear and sportswear.

Bob Usher, director of research and development at Poole, added: “ComFortrel by Poole covers all the bases. It’s a soft, low-pilling fibre that feels good and is ideal for high-performance.”
