England shirt restyled by Gillette to support Movember
25/10/2012
The shirt has been designed in association with England’s main sponsor, personal care brand Gillette, and features branding on front, rear, and right sleeve promoting the charity, Movember. The restyling of the kit is part of Gillette’s partnership with Movember, whose name comes from the practice of men growing a moustache for the month of November to show support and earn sponsorship money.
England coach, Steve McNamara, said the national team is delighted to have the opportunity to show its support for the charity. At the time of the special shirt’s launch, he said: “The players are acutely aware of the importance of promoting the issues surrounding men’s health and are delighted to do their bit. As well as wearing the new shirt, some of our players will be growing their own ‘Mo’ during November, which should be fun.”
The new shirts, made by Australian sports brand ISC, will be worn by England for the first time against Wales on October 27 and again at the match against France on November 3. England will also don the new-look strip in the final at Salford City Stadium on Sunday, November 11, if the team qualifies.
